A jump-a-why did I buy this thing?

My daughter is 9, almost 10 months old. I bought her everything I could think of including, but not limited to, a playpen, exersaucer, bumbo seat, play gym, and a jumparoo. Today, as I realize she is becoming more independent, I believe I need to pack away the jumparoo. She would much rather sit on the floor and play, than be in anything that is restraining her. Hmmph.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you my feelings, whether you are pregnant or planning on having a baby.

A jumparoo looks like it could be a ton of fun, and it was, for about 3 months. For 130.00 I got 3 months of wonderful use, but was it really worth it? She had all the other toys, why did I buy this one? Because I thought it would give me some more "mommy" time. In reality it took up entirely too much space and she didn't really enjoy it that much until she was 7months old. And at 9months she is too tall for it, and would rather be independent! You can only use it once their feet touch the ground in it for them to "jump", otherwise they get mad, and really don't want to be in it dangling.

So if you are wondering which is best, I would recommend only buying the exersaucer.
The jumparoo is a waste.. The exersaucer helps teach them fine motor skills and helps with development, and if you have one like mine, it also turns into a walker when they start to try to walk!
